  • Talking Tuchel, defeat for France and a big win for Brazil
Jimbo is joined in the studio by Duncan Alexander, Jack Lang and Tom Williams on that most blessed of occasions - international week. The Nations League quarter-finals see Germany win in Italy and Croatia overcome France thanks to another ridiculously good Luke Modric performance. Belgium lose a 4th game in a row in what was Rudi Garcia’s 4th match in charge. Which makes us wonder why French managers aren’t coaching at elite club level anymore? • Barcelona stun Atletico and can PSG win the treble?
Jimbo’s got Julien Laurens, Rory Smith, Seb Stafford-Bloor and Pol Ballús in tow to put all the action from across the continent under the microscope. It’s advantage Inter in Serie A as the Nerazzurri moved three points clear at the top of the table thanks to their 2-0 win over title rivals Atalanta. Napoli lost ground after being held to their seventh draw of the season by lowly Venezia in a game they somehow failed to score in.  In La Liga, Barcelona came from two goals down to stun Atléti 4-2 and regain top spot, after Kylian Mbappé’s brace in their 2-1 win at Villarreal. Plenty are still reeling in the red and white side of Madrid after THAT Champions League exit…  Over in France, PSG celebrated their Champions League heroics by extending their lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table to a whopping 19 points after their 3-1 win vs Marseille.  And in the Bundesliga, Laterkusen returned in their dramatic 4-3 win at Stuttgart, while Bayern were held by Union Berlin which means their advantage at the top is cut to six points. Produced by Lucy Oliva. Chris Waugh also joins us from Wembley after Newcastle finally win their first domestic trophy in 70 years, upsetting Premier League leaders Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final. All hail Eddie Howe and the job he’s done at St James’s Park. But did Arne Slot get it wrong on Sunday? And where was Mo Salah? It’s a good weekend for Arsenal and Nottingham Forest in terms of securing their top 5 place while Man City are pegged back twice by Brighton. But it’s another miserable afternoon for Spurs at Fulham and a record-breaking evening for Leicester against Man United.
