Annie Börjesson, a beautiful, young Swedish woman, often described as a Viking Princess, fell in love with Edinburgh, Scotland while taking a trip there and was in the process of making it her permanent home. Unfortunately, it became her final destination when she was found dead on a beach. While her death was initially ruled a suicide, those who knew her said there was no way. And her actions on her last day would also suggest she had no plans to end her life. EP 50 And Then There Were Nun
Today's case takes us to Hallstatt, Austria, a beautiful touristy hamlet surrounded by mountains and lakes -- the perfect place to go hiking, swimming and Slaycating. In the summer of 2016, 72-year old Sister Eileen Christie, a beloved nun from Long Island, arrived for her annual pilgrimage full of energy and excitement. But when Sister Eileen didn't show up at the third hostel on her itinerary, and stopped all communication with her nephew back home, it was clear something was wrong. A major search was launched and a suspect emerged. But despite the best efforts of local law enforcement, including a private detective hired by the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Eileen's Order back in Long Island, the intrigue only deepened.
