  • Conversation Street Episode 668
On our latest episode of the podcast, we chat about the Weatherfield drama between the 17th and the 19th February (Episodes #11,495 - 11,500) With EastEnders' 40th anniversary taking place this week, the ITV soaps had to put on quite the spectacle to compete. Emmerdale threw all it had into crashing a limo into an icy lake whilst Corrie put all its eggs into the Rob Donovan escape basket... but did it end up with egg on its own face? Also this week, there are ball gags aplenty as Kevin goes under the knife - can Abi hold it together and support her hubby?  Meanwhile, Max pleads guilty to the fire at No. 8, Mick and Lou prove to be quite the nuisance neighbours, and Eileen's sister Julie is back in Weatherfield - but why is this Carp being so coy? It's a Street Talk only podcast this week as we've been away in London for a few days, but with plenty to dissect about this week's action on the cobbles, we reckon it's still a fun show!

  • Julia Goulding Interview
We reckon the character of Shona Platt has been one of the best things to happen on Corrie in the past decade, so we were thrilled to get the opportunity to welcome the ripped jean queen of the cobbles onto the podcast this week. Actress Julia Goulding chats about fulfilling a lifelong dream by getting a part on Corrie, shares some behind the secrets about the fire at Number 8 and answers the burning question on everyone's lips: does Shona always have cold knees? Also available as a video interview here: https://youtu.be/VPRQ3LVxnDg

  • Conversation Street Episode #667
On our latest episode of the podcast, we have a natter about the goings on in Weatherfield between the 10th and the 14th February 2025 (Episodes #11,489 - 11,494) It's all going down at the General this week, as Kevin gets some bad news about test results whilst Rob plots his 'Get Out Of Jail Free' scheme with the help of newly besotted prison guard Mandy and - in an admittedly quite surprising turn of events - Lisa Swain herself! Meanwhile, over on the Street, Shona's shocked to discover the true culprit behind the fire at Number 8 - but will she help keep the heat off the arsonist? Also this week, Gemma makes a mate in the form of newcomer Lou, Mason's funeral takes place and Cassie and Steve get caught up in that Valentine's Day feeling! Up next on the podcast, it's the news, where we celebrate Peter Ash's latest win at the TV Choice Awards and take a look at this week's offerings on ITV Reloved. We round things off as usual with more of your fabulous feedback. Street Talk - 00:12:06 The Kabin - 02:24:25 Feedback - 02:35:37

  • Conversation Street Episode 666
On our latest  podcast, we take a look at the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 3rd and the 5th February (Episodes #11,483 - 11,488). Although Corrie had to tie up the 'What happened to Amy?' thread and of course throw in a few Carla scenes to appease the hungry fans, the vast majority of the action centred around the fire at the Platts' house this week. If you enjoyed last year's Whodunnits centred around Lauren and Joel, you're in luck because Corrie has dipped into the same well again this week by presenting a number of suspects for the arson - did Abi torch the house to cover her tracks? Leanne to get revenge on her boyfriend-stealing sister? David to claim on the insurance? Or maybe the culprit is a character we may not be supposed to suspect at this point - someone who hasn't yet had the chance to explain their movements in the minutes before that match was tossed through the letterbox...  After exhausting our thoughts and theories about the week's episodes, we take a trip to The Kabin, where we celebrate Corrie's win at the Broadcast Awards, then we hear some listeners' thoughts on the fire in the feedback section.  Street Talk - 00:22:27 The Kabin - 02:42:43 Feedback - 02:51:58
